Cow Hollow has a new sushi joint in Tamashisoul Sushi Bar, the newest offering from the raw-fish magnates behind the Tendernob's constantly bumping Sudachi. Like its predecessor, it's more focused on a good time than on fancy nigiri, offering sake, soju cocktails, and fun rolls like the Tamachi on Fire (a flaming roll with shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, asparagus, and lobster salad) and the Red Hot Chili Pepper, with spicy tuna, asparagus, and jalapeno. There are also some salads with tuna and salmon sashimi and tataki, and the usual chicken teriyaki, edamame, and such. Here's the full menu, courtesy of UrbanDaddy.

The space is modern and hip, with bamboo walls, red banquettes, black furniture, and a black bar with dangling pendant lights. A DJ spins jazz and soul, adding to the urban vibe. And in case you were wondering about the name, it comes from the Japanese word for "soul"—clearly they were hoping to reemphasize.
