Meatpaper's Final Issue; 20th Street Block Party

IN PRINT—Esteemed meat publication Meatpaper is publishing its last issue ever. After seven years, the quarterly journal covering art and ideas about meat culture is putting itself out to pasture and celebrating with a final issue focusing on the "Future of Meat," so get your copies while the getting's good. MISSION—It's street festival season, and with it comes another installment of food, music and fun courtesy of Noise Pop, which has teamed up with the Bon Vivants and local restaurants to present a 20th Street Block Party. Come Saturday afternoon, the stretch of 20th between Harrison and Bryant will play host to musical performances from Two Gallants, James & Evander and more, plus a Dog House Booze Garden manned by the Trick Dog team and food from Central Kitchen, Rhea's Deli and many more. In celebration, flour + water will be open for lunch for the first time ever. [EaterWire]

OAKLANDHaven is throwing a beer dinner in collaboration with The Trappist on Monday night, which will include four courses of squid, pork belly, short ribs and chocolate mousse paired with rare, top-flight sour beers. Tickets are $85/per person for the event, which will take place at Daniel Patterson's stylish Oakland joint. [EaterWire]

DOGPATCH—Piccino is celebrating the Italian summer festival Farragosto this Sunday with a mini farmers market complete with picnic-friendly items like salads, salami sandwiches and baked treats, plus live music, beer and wine specials, and an 8:30pm screening of 'What About Bob' projected on the barn doors.
