FINANCIAL DISTRICT—The Palace Hotel's Pied Piper Bar is getting its namesake back after the beloved Maxfield Parrish painting underwent a restoration to remove resin and brighten colors. Look for the painting to reappear behind the bar on August 22. [SFist]

BERKELEY—The barista-owned and operated Alchemy Collective Cafe is moving to 1741 Alcatraz Avenue, where they'll have four times the seating of the old spot, plus coffee, granola and a variety of sandwiches alongside their signature one-hundred-percent consensus model. [EBX]
THE INTERNET—Charles Chocolates and a woman-owned, San Francisco-based company called Juniper are both developing a monthly subscription service to deliver sweets and treats timed to a woman's cycle. Charles Chocolates is apparently reviving their "PMS Club" monthly confection service after receiving requests from women to bring it back. [SF Weekly]
