SF is getting a special visitor next Sunday: Amanda Cohen, the acclaimed chef of NYC vegetarian restaurant Dirt Candy, will be dropping by Omnivore Books to sign copies of her cookbook of the same name, which also happens to be the first graphic-novel cookbook ever written. She'll also whip up samples of her famous portobello mousse for attendees. "I'll be talking about cooking vegetables so they don't end up as big piles of failure," says Cohen. "I'm totally hoping that this turns into one of those East Coast/West Coast hip hop wars that can only be resolved by a breakdance battle." [EaterWire]
