The brothers Lee (Dennis, Daniel, and David) of Namu Gaji made the front page of the New York Times dining section this morning, as part of an article about second-generation restaurateurs. "We were supposed to be doctors, not hot dog vendors," Dennis says of their Korean mother, who was less than pleased when they opened up a hot-dog stand in Golden Gate Park. The Lee parents ran Dah-Mee, a pan-Asian restaurant in Natick, MA, where Dennis says he learned "this crazy work ethic"—which should serve him well when he takes on Magnolia Dogpatch's food program next month.
