Yes, another beer project is in the works in Oakland, and it's got a big-name chef attached: James Syhabout of Commis, Hawker Fare and the forthcoming Box and Bells is teaming up with Linden Street Brewery's Adam Lamoreaux for a new beer garden and restaurant to be called The Dock at Linden Street. Located next door to the current Linden Street Brewery, The Dock gets its name from its location on an old loading dock.

As if Syhabout's soon-to-be-opened Box and Bells and his involvement with the O Chame revamp weren't enough to keep him busy, he's designing a bar-bites menu centered the new spot's beer offerings. "It's basically going to be a public house," Syhabout told Inside Scoop, saying that the globally-inspired food at The Dock will come secondary to the beer. "It's just going to be cuisine that goes well with beer."

Lamoreaux, of course, will contribute his signature brews to the project, but it will also have a full liquor license and serve up cocktails and wine. A 60-car parking lot puts the space on the map as one of the roomiest around, so expect block parties and big events. No word yet on when they plan to open, but they're already in the permitting phase.
