The gang at Eater National has the first look at David Kinch's Manresa: An Edible Reflection, which drops October 22. The book is as much history and memoir as recipe book, with short essays by Kinch on what it means to grow as a chef; as our own Paula Forbes puts it, "The book is a great example of the benefits of waiting until you have a bit of a career behind you to publish a book. Kinch has an actual story to tell, unlike some chefs who publish cookbooks the second their restaurant hits the national spotlight." Check it out and see some interior snaps. [~ EN ~]
