Cronut Mania

The latest player in the faux-cronut game is a big one: Safeway. A tipster sent in the photo at right of the "dou'ssants" (subtitle: "fluffy goodness") that he picked up at the 30th and Noriega store, which came in four packs of either glazed or cinnamon sugar (both unfilled) for $5.99. His conclusion: "They aren't awful!" The "dou'ssants" were also mentioned in this week's Safeway flyer; we've reached out to Safeway PR to find out which stores have them, and will report back.
