SF's Michelin Rankings Will Drop October 22

New, 8 comments

Our contacts at the Michelin Guide have confirmed that the Bay Area star ratings for 2014 will drop on October 22nd, with the guide itself being released the next day. That puts San Francisco after New York City (where the announcement will be made October 1) but ahead of Chicago (where it'll be made on November 12).

So, with Michelin rankings just a month away, it's time to talk predictions. Will Saison's attractive new home finally earn it the three-star recognition it seeks? Could Dominique Crenn, the only American woman to hold two stars, make the jump to three? Might Chez Panisse finally get back its lost star after recovering from its fire and upping its decor game? Are State Bird Provisions, Rich Table, or Hakkasan (which holds a star in other cities) possible qualifiers? Any and all thoughts are requested in the comments.
