Hop Dogma, Half Moon Bay's New Beer Bar

Originally a 5-gallon for-fun operation jointly run out of a house in El Granada and an apartment in Walnut Creek, Hop Dogma is a much-more-for-money brewery-cum-tasting room from home brewers Dan Littlefield and Ethan Martini, now open in Half Moon Bay.

Just a couple blocks from the ocean, Hop Dogma is open Thursday through Sunday with just enough room for a slate-faced marble bar and a few high tops, wherein you can enjoy sudsy goodness from a three-barrel system. Beer offerings include Flynn's Liberty (a whiskey-barrel-aged stout), Purisima (a Belgian saison), Bridge & Tunnel Bitter (an English-style Extra Special Bitter), their eponymous A-Frame IPA, and Theodora's Mosaic Pale.

Food-wise they're bringing in HMB trucks like The Shark Bite (which sadly doesn't serve the delicious elementary school snacks), and non-Hop Dogma beer-wise they're also doing guest kegs -- they've got Sierra Nevada Flipside Red IPA on tap today.
