Inner Richmond residents looking for a caffeine fix just got a fresh new option: Barley, a Clement Street cafe that's serving up coffee and a whole lot more on the way. Located in the former Java House space, Barley is a spruced up and modernized cafe that boasts a wood and chrome motif as well as a vibrant living wall along one side of the space.

Starting now, Barley is serving coffee and other beverages, but in the coming weeks they'll be ramping up to a full breakfast, lunch and dinner menu, along with a weekend brunch. The Richmond SF blog reports that vanilla bean French toast, roasted chicken, soups and "Smashburgers" will all be on offer with the new menu, as well as beer and wine once their license goes through. Initial hours for the new spot are 7am to 4pm every day, but they'll be extending their opening hours once they get underway.
