A new shop called Scarecrow Popcorn has opened up in Oakland, just in time for the Halloween season. Owner Tish Moore got the idea when she began jonesing for her native Chicago's popcorn options, like cheddar and caramel (for non-Midwesterners, they're called the "Chicago Mix" when blended together). With a rotating selection of popcorn flavors and a concessions-style vibe, Scarecrow is now handily filling the East Bay popcorn void. Open daily from 11am to 6:30pm. [EBX]
