Masaki Sasaki, the former Sebo and Hecho sushi chef, is moving at a good clip in terms of getting the doors open on his Mission restaurant, Maruya, in the former Bar Bambino space. He expects he'll open in the next few weeks, when he'll serve an $85 omakase ("no California rolls, no spicy things") to a drastically reduced number of seats (26 at eight tables, plus a 10-seat counter). The space has been totally made over as well. [Inside Scoop]
