Fillmore's Cronut is Now D's Nutz; Bunny at Boozeland

PACIFIC HEIGHTS—Cronut watchers may recall that Fillmore Bakeshop received a cease-and-desist from their inventor, Dominique Ansel, for calling their version "kronuts." They held a contest to find a new name, and the winner was "D's Nutz." (Say it out loud, then admire their chutzpah.) This Saturday's flavors will be lemon cream (right) and cinnamon sugar. TENDERLOIN—Followers of the Lower Haight's silly pink bunny statue may have noted that it was slated for destruction, stolen, then found again. As a result, it's currently on display at Emperor Norton's Boozeland until September 13. [Examiner]
