When Noir Lounge opened back in April, it did so without a major component: consulting chef Adam Hinojosa of Per Diem, who had gotten a promotion and didn't have time to handle both spots. Joanna Karlinsky temporarily took over the kitchen while Noir sought another chef, and now they've found one—right back where they started, with Hinojosa. He's left Per Diem and taken over the kitchen at Noir, with his pastry chef and partner Sarah Shirley (Per Diem, Baker & Banker) alongside him, and the duo have revamped Noir's menus.

On the savory side, Hinojosa is now offering bar bites like Humboldt Fog-stuffed dates, housemade Parmesan tater tots, and his infamous brisket poutine (named the city's best in SFoodie's extensive taste test last year). Bigger plates include lobster empanadas, green chili mac and cheese, and chicken and waffles, with crepe cake, lemon ricotta pound cake, and chocolate pot de creme for dessert. Here's the full menu. The duo also offer a seasonal brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 11-3; last weekend's menu options included avocado toast, mushroom crepes, and, in the insanity department, breakfast poutine. The Blind Tiger Tap Room offerings continue in the back as well, with recent finds like Ballast Point Sea Monster and La Rulles Cuvee Meilleurs Voeux.
