It's official: now that Ferry Plaza Seafood has vacated their namesake premises for a move to North Beach, Hog Island Oyster Company plans to take over their space in the Ferry Building for an expansion. Cass Calder Smith is behind the redesign, which will double the number of tables, add a floor-to-ceiling view of the Bay, and incorporate vintage items from Hog Island's Tomales Bay oyster farm; the menu will also grow, and a full bar will come online. Construction begins in January. [EaterWire]
