Though they weren't originally expected to close before February, the Cafe du Nord and Swedish-American Hall renovations are coming earlier than expected. The venues have announced their last day in their current form will be this Saturday, January 4, with planned shows for after that date being moved to Slim's and the Great American Music Hall. The renovation should take about six months, so expect the revamped Du Nord sometime this summer. [EaterWire]
