Just a couple of months after opening, Oakland Korean spot Copan is getting a shakeup. Opening chef and Momofuku alum Eddie Joo has left the restaurant for a move back to Southern California, and the restaurant is being rebranded as a location of Bowl'd, the Albany bibimbap joint that's run by the daughter of Copan's owner. The restaurant plans to transition to the Bowl'd menu next week, keeping a few of the dishes from the old Copan menu, like shabu-shabu and fried chicken. [EBX]
