Kelsie Kerr, the Chez Panisse and Cafe Rouge chef who co-authored Alice Waters' duo of The Art of Simple Food books, is hanging out a shingle. Next month, she plans to open Standard Fare (2701 8th St.), a to-go spot in Berkeley offering prepared meals in reheatable ceramic containers from local potters Jered's. The food will be available for delivery through a bicycle messenger service, and Kerr plans to hold pop-up dinners and cooking classes in the space. [Inside Scoop]
