Ferry Plaza Seafood vacated its former home in the Ferry Building a few weeks back, and now Hog Island Oyster Company has unveiled its plans to expand into the adjacent space. The beloved seafood spot will close on January 15, receiving a Cass Calder Smith redesign with double the space of the original location (65 inside, 60 outside) and a new cocktail program from Scott Beattie and Michael Jack Pazdon, featuring ingredients grown on Hog Island's farm in Marshall. Expect the expansion sometime in the spring. [EaterWire]
