Adriano Paganini is one busy guy: after moving Pesce from Russian Hill to the Castro and opening Uno Dos Tacos in its place over the course of just a few months, he's now debuted the seventh (!) location of his popular Super Duper Burgers chain (and the third location downtown) in the former Lightening Foods space at Mission and Spear. Like the other locations, this edition of Super Duper offers Niman Ranch burgers, free-range chicken sandwiches, veggie burgers, and fries, along with Straus soft serve, shakes, and beer and wine on tap. They'll also have egg sandwiches and housemade mini-donuts for breakfast (7-10:30 am). Hours are 7 am-8 pm on weekdays, and 11 am-6 pm on weekends.

Paganini and downtown SF aren't done with each other yet: the prolific restaurateur is still sitting on the former Sellers Markets space at Mission and 2nd Streets, which he'd originally planned to turn into Uno Dos Tacos before unspecified delays intervened. It's unclear if he'll continue with that project, given that Uno Dos has essentially entered permanent status in Russian Hill, or turn it into another Super Duper or something else entirely. Super Duper is also quickly making inroads outside the city, with locations in San Jose and Mill Valley, and Paganini has expressed interest in the past in taking it to the East Bay. There will surely be more burger news to come.
