LOWER HAIGHT—After a decade, Tandoor on Haight has called it quits, with its owner deciding to retire. (It was known as Naan 'n Chutney until 2011, when a name dispute with Naan 'n Curry obliged it to change its moniker.) The lower Haight had four Indian eateries in 2010; Indian Oven is now the only one that remains. [Hoodline]

MISSION—The newish Urchin, from the couple behind Ame and Terra, is offering a killer deal for the month of October: from 5:30-6:30 pm nightly, diners can get a cocktail (or a daily red/white wine, or a beer) and any dish from the snacks menu for $10. Cocktails alone usually run $11. [EaterWire]

OAKLAND—The Half Orange is debuting its new patio this week, and in celebration, all draft beers will be $2.98 (plus tax) until sunset, which is 7:02 pm. The deal runs through Thursday. Wine fans should also plan to drop in next Thursday, October 9, when acclaimed San Diego natural winery Los Pilares will be in the house, pouring some special wines. [EaterWire]

UNION SQUARE—The Clift hotel is hosting a special tequila and mezcal tasting this Friday (5-9 pm). For $45, drinkers can sample the wares of 25+ brands. [EaterWire]
