The Mission's Company to Close, Hoffmann's Grill Coming In

Expect approachable comfort food and wine.

After two years in the Mission, Company is on its way out, and one of its former owners, longtime Four Seasons chef Karen Hoffmann, is taking over. Her new restaurant will be called Hoffmann's Grill and Rotisserie, and will feature many of the same menu items, like lamb meatballs with white-bean dip, confit chicken wings, and housemade ricotta agnolotti, as well as some new items like grilled swordfish and a vegetarian grain bowl. The wine list will focus on small California producers, with four draft wines; she'll offer fortified wine cocktails and beer as well. Hoffmann is running Company as-is for the time being; the 48-seat restaurant will undergo some small design changes in late October, close on October 28, and reopen as Hoffmann's on November 4.
