SAN FRANCISCO—An infographic from dogsitting website Rover.com has found that dogs in San Francisco are three times more likely to be named after booze. Among the pup names out there: Merlot, Malbec, Guinness, and Porter. [Curbed SF]

MISSION—ABV isn't really a sports bar, but the staff are such Giants fans that they've brought in an 80-inch HDTV to show the playoff games. While you're cheering on the team, you can get a $9 Orange and Black special, featuring their burger (on a sweet potato bun with black sesame seeds) and a layered orange-and-black shot of Fernet and curacao. OUTER SUNSET/SOMA—Two Oktoberfests are on the docket for this weekend. The first is on Sunday at Park Chalet (3-6 pm), with sausages, liters of beer, and a German brass band. The second goes down tomorrow (11 am-4 pm) at SOMA StrEat Food Park, with all-you-can-drink Sudwerk beer for $25. [EaterWire]

MISSION—The Guild of Cookery, the pop-up that serves dishes inspired by Game of Thrones, is back in action on Monday at Namu Gaji. This time around, "The Imp's Feast" will celebrate the favorite dishes of Tyrion Lannister, like oxtail soup, quail drowned in butter, and hot crab pie. Dinner is $60, or $95 with wine pairings, because "Tyrion would want it that way."
