Almanac's Notoberfest; David Wilcox's Pop-Ups

Plus: A vegan food festival, and Sunday Suppers at Pizzaiolo.

POTRERO HILL—Celebrate Notoberfest tomorrow night in Potrero Hill, with local brewer Almanac taking the reins of a beer bash featuring Ballast Point, Speakeasy, Faction, Fort Point, and other rad local brewers pouring fresh-hop and pumpkin ales. To feed the beery crowds, Ryan Farr and the 4505 Meats gang will have meaty treats. Tickets are $60 and include all food and beer; proceeds benefit the St. Gregory of Nyssa Food Pantry. [EaterWire]

BAY AREA—Former Mill Valley Beerworks chef David Wilcox is popping up all over the place, with some "shrimp shack" pop-ups tonight and tomorrow, then a massive fundraiser for Baja hurricane victims later this month. [Inside Scoop]

SOMA—Vegans will want to hit up the SOMA StrEat Food Park on Saturday for their first ever Vegan Beer & Food Festival, featuring 12 vendors like Southern Fried Vegan and No No Burger serving up all-vegan fare. The event will benefit animal welfare causes, too. [EaterWire]

OAKLAND—Charlie Hallowell's charitable Sunday Suppers series is once again in action this weekend, with Pizzaiolo hosting the dinner this go-round. The beneficiary will be Destiny Arts Center, which helps at-risk kids through dance and martial arts. Tickets are $60, including wine. [EaterWire]
