ABV and Kronnerburger Team Up; Lower Haight Gets New Chinese Spot

Plus: Food & Wine's editor and Mark Bittman are both coming for book events.

MISSION—Two titans of burgerdom will strut their stuff next week at ABV, with Kronnerburger's Chris Kronner joining ABV chef Kevin Cimino to serve their respective burgers on Tuesday and Wednesday. You can catch the burgers all day; they're going straight through from 2 pm-1 am. [EaterWire]

LOWER HAIGHT—It looks like Tandoor on Haight is going to become a Chinese restaurant. Lower Haighters, who already have another Chinese restaurant right across the street, plus two sushi spots and a forthcoming Korean restaurant on the same block, are a bit disappointed. [Hoodline]

BAY AREA—Dana Cowin, editor-in-chief of Food & Wine, is visiting SF next week to promote her new cookbook, Mastering My Mistakes in the KitchenCatch her on Tuesday at Omnivore Books, where she'll chat and serve treats with 20th Century Cafe's Michelle Polzine, or sign up for a lunch with her in Danville, or a dinner with her and Michael Chiarello at Bottega, both on Wednesday.
