Woodward's Garden Officially Closes; A New Dogpatch Coffee Spot

MISSION—It's (sadly) official: after 22 years in the Mission, Woodward's Garden is now officially closed. Chef-owners Dana Tommasino and Margie Conard are, as promised last month, on the hunt for a new space; no word yet on what the restaurant will become. [Inside Scoop]

DOGPATCH—Proving that two new cafes are better than one, Dignita, which just opened inside new mid-Market food court The Hall, has opened another location this week, in Dogpatch coworking space Invention Hub (2225 3rd St.) Like The Hall's version, it serves coffee and pastries. [EaterWire]

CIVIC CENTER—Celebrate Oktoberfest tomorrow night at the SF Cooking School, where Master Cicerone Rich Higgins will discuss the ins and outs of pairing beer and German food.
