Saison, San Francisco's most expensive restaurant, now holds three Michelin stars, an honor shared by just over 100 restaurants around the world. The upgrade from two stars was reported by The French Laundry's Twitter account, which also broke the news that Corey Lee's Benu now holds three stars as well in the Michelin guide.
Congrats to @saisonsf and the whole team !!! #3Stars #TheMoreTheMerrier #GreatJob #Proud

The San Francisco Bay Area and Wine Country now has four restaurants with three stars: The French Laundry, The Restaurant at Meadowood, Benu and Saison.
The Guide's famously anonymous inspectors will formally announce the starred selections for the Bay Area at 3:00pm PDT. Michelin has a longstanding practice of informing the chefs beforehand, and those chefs often tweet out their individual results throughout the day, which is why info is leaking; we'll have the full report in 20 minutes, when the embargo is lifted.
