There's still an hour and 20 minutes to go until the embargo is lifted on the Michelin Guide 2015 rankings, but we can now confirm one major development: the three-star group, which was previously home only to The French Laundry and The Restaurant at Meadowood, has a new member. According to the French Laundry's Twitter, former chef de cuisine Corey Lee has cracked Michelin's uppermost tier with his SOMA restaurant, Benu.
Congratulations to Chef Corey Lee and the whole team at Benu! #3Stars #MichelinSF #Proud

More on what this means for Benu and the local dining scene will arrive as the news breaks. We'll have the full Michelin lineup ready and waiting for you at 3:00 pm PDT.
