UNION SQUARE—Late-night service has apparently been going well at Kin Khao, thanks in part to those recent NYT and Bon Appetit shoutouts. But proprietress Pim Techamuanvivit says she has to shut it down early anyway. She cites lack of public transit and solid tips for cooks, not to mention costly overtime, as the culprits. Tonight will be the last night of late-night Kin Khao; it'll close at 11 pm from here on out. [Inside Scoop]

NOPA/WESTERN ADDITION—Hot San Diego brewery Saint Archer is finally getting distributed in these parts, and while it's available at lots of beer-centric retailers, only one restaurant is carrying it: 4505 Burgers & BBQ. In celebration, drinkers can get a brew and a bag of Ryan Farr's chicharrones for a discounted price of $9 tonight, from 6-8 pm. Commemorative glassware is also a strong possibility. [EaterWire]

FILLMORE—In honor of Fashion's Night Out tomorrow night, the Fillmore area is also offering a "Moveable Feast" of food samples and wine at spots like Baker & Banker, Jane on Fillmore, 1300 on Fillmore, Elite Cafe, and more. Tickets are $65. [EaterWire]

CASTRO—Canela is hosting two events this month: on October 8, Marimar Torres of Marimar Estate will drop in for a $65 wine pairing menu, while on October 22, they'll be teaming up with the folks behind Bacon Bacon for a trans-kitchen dinner prepared simultaneously in the kitchen and on the truck.
