Tender Greens' King Street Location Debuts Today

The healthy lunch chain is targeting the SOMA tech corridor.

Those looking to return to the scene of the crime to work off last night's NLDS-related sins are in luck: healthy-lunch chain Tender Greens is debuting their new location at 266 King Street, right near AT&T Park, today. As with the Fremont Street location, the menu is focused around various proteins (steak, fried chicken, albacore tuna), assembled as a hot plate with mashed potatoes and a side salad, on a big salad, or in a sandwich. Some other large-format salads (like an exclusive sweet-potato noodle salad with kimchi-soy vinaigrette, from chef Jodie Olson), as well as a couple of soups, are also offered, and they'll have some daily specials like fish tacos or kimchi flatbread. Drink options include wine, draft beer, Weaver's coffee, and housemade aguas frescas. The new location will certainly be a boon to the hungry workers in the burgeoning nearby tech corridor, or to ballpark visitors who want a healthy option (remember, outside food is totally OK at AT&T Park). Hours are daily from 11 am-9 pm.
