The train to flavortown derailed before it even got going.

In Sacramento, honorary Raider and human demolition derby Guy Fieri has suddenly closed his "popular" Johnny Garlic's location. Employees arriving to work yesterday were told those shifts would be their last, including one unsuspecting employee who was just hired three days ago.

"I got a phone call that says today’s your last day," line cook Britton Archie told the local CBS affiliate, even though the managers reportedly asked him not to talk about the big slap of donkey sauce he just received from Fieri Corporate.

Johnny Garlic's COO Bruce Marano told reporters that the location no longer "fits the profile of what we’re looking for," so it would seem that even Sacramento is too urbane for Fieri's jalapeño bacon-wrapped venison loin. Meanwhile, in Bakersfield: another Johnny Garlic's opened was announced just last week and Sacramento fans of bleached hair are being encouraged to taken their patronage deeper into the suburbs at the Roseville location.
