Six people were injured in a shooting last night outside of the Mission's Brick & Mortar Music Hall. The incident occurred around 12:46 am, just after a sold-out hip-hop show featuring more than a dozen artists (including headlining locals G-Val and Show Banga) had let out. According to KTVU, the suspect immediately fled the scene, and officers arrived to find four injured people, two of them with life-threatening injuries. Two more eventually arrived at local hospitals, transported by friends. "Everybody start running, chaos...I'm talking about mayhem everywhere," an unidentified clubgoer told KTVU. "You got people laying, bleeding. You know what I'm saying. It wasn't a good situation."
A rep for the SFPD says it's still too soon to tell what motivated the shooting, including whether or not the shooter was even in attendance at the show. There are also no descriptions of the suspect available at this time, though tips are, as always, welcomed. All six victims are expected to survive, according to SFGate, though it'll likely be a long recovery for the two who were most seriously injured, sustaining wounds to the head and upper body, respectively. Show Banga, one of the headliners, also condemned the shootings in an Instagram post.
