The hip young crowds that can regularly be found massing outside of Mission Chinese Food now have an option to skip the line: today, the hit restaurant's SF location rolled out free online reservations, no fancy app required. Of course, given their ad hoc nature and the tininess of their space, things are a little different: you can make a reservation for up to 10 at your preferred time, and they'll "do [their] absolute best to hold a table for you." If that doesn't end up working out, "at worst, you will be first on the wait list, and should have a 5-10 minute wait." Try not to stare too longingly at those MSG shakers while you cool your heels.
