Homeroom, Oakland's beloved mac-and-cheese restaurant, is now making it even easier to enjoy their gooey offerings at home. Homeroom To-Go, located just around the corner from the restaurant at 4007 Webster St, opened this morning to house the restaurant's burgeoning takeout operation, and offer a selection of 32 different kinds of beer and wine that pair perfectly with their pastas. In addition to the booze, Homeroom fans can also pick up mac-friendly accoutrements like hot sauces, spices, jars of homemade sauce and salad dressing, or some Homeroom swag. And in response to customer demand, sampler platters for 4-6 people are now available in four different combinations of mac-and-cheese: best-sellers, spicy, meat-lovers and veggie ($35 each). Or be the most popular person in the world and cater your next event with a large platter, serving 8-10.
Homeroom To-Go is also the new home of the awesome drive-through service the restaurant launched last year, allowing diners to order through an app, pay ahead of time and have their order brought directly to the car, eliminating the need to park and cram into a tiny restaurant to grab takeout. That's right, no need to even get out of the car to retrieve your vat of cheesy pasta. This is America, people!
HTG is open the same hours as the restaurant: 11 am-10 pm; be sure to take advantage of their Web ordering to avoid any hassle during your next mac attack.
