Super Duper Hits Novato; A New Zealand-Centric Bakery

Plus: The Attic gets gutted, and Arlequin's annual Champagne blowout.

Super Duper Burgers

MARIN COUNTYSuper Duper Burgers continues to dominate the Bay with the arrival of its eighth location, in Novato's Hamilton Marketplace. It's the second Marin outpost for the burgeoning burger mini-chain (the other is in Mill Valley), boasting the same menu of organic burgers, fries, and shakes that has made them so very popular in SF. MARIN COUNTY—Also new up north: Windsor's BurtoNZ Bakerywhich bills itself as the Bay's only New Zealand eatery (besides Waiheke Island Yacht Club, the America's Cup pop-up that shuttered last year). Steak and cheese pie, sausage rolls, lamingtons, and custard squares are among the offerings. [Inside Scoop]

MISSIONThe Attic is now totally gutted, though it's still unclear what, exactly, it'll become. Always sad to see a good dive bar driven so low. [Mission Mission]

HAYES VALLEYArlequin Wine Merchant's famously awesome Champagne tastingis coming up on Thursday, featuring 45 of the best sparklers going from the likes of Pol Roger, Pierre Peter, Vilmart, and Benoit Lahaye. Tickets are $75; call or drop in to get them. [EaterWire]
