SF Beer Week Opening Gala Tickets Are On Sale; 80 Other Events Announced

The event always sells out, so get your tickets early.

Heads up for all you SF Beer Week fans out there: the event's opening gala, which seems to sell out sooner and sooner with each passing year, is officially open for business on Eventbrite. Tickets to the event, to be held on Friday, February 6th at Fort Mason Center's Herbst Pavilion (a larger space than its previous home, the Concourse Exhibition Center), will run you a cool $75, which may be worth it to either participate in or watch the running of the bulls towards Russian River Brewing's absurdly popular, February-only Pliny the Younger IPA. And of course, 80+ Bay Area breweries will also make the trip, from the classics (Bear Republic, Marin, Moonlight) to the cult-followed (Cellarmaker, The Rare Barrel, Tahoe Mountain).

In addition to the big gala, the SF Brewers' Guild has announced an initial 80 events for Beer Week (which runs February 6-15, 2015), including standbys like the Bistro Double IPA Fest (February 7th) and the Magnolia Festival of Firkins (February 12th). Sierra Nevada, Firestone Walker, Midnight Sun, and more have announced tap takeovers and "Meet the Brewer" events. We'll have more on our top picks for Beer Week once the blessed event approaches.
