In case our warnings about why Valentine's is a terrible night to eat out didn't take root, there's another reason to cook at home tonight: it'll cost you more money. SF Mag did V-Day price comparisons on all the one- and two- Michelin-starred restaurants in the Bay Area, and found that Acquerello is jacking prices 87%, Spruce 72%, and La Folie 71% for the holiday. There is some good in the mix: Madera is charging 4% less, and Auberge du Soleil is keeping prices flat. But you'll pay an average of 32% more to go out tonight. So just don't, okay? [SF Mag]
