Cronut Mania

Like sands through the hourglass, so are the faux-cronuts of our lives. The latest take on Dominique Ansel's iconic dessert (which still draws crazy lines, even in snowstorms) comes from Donut Savant, and has been christened the "crōn't" (rhymes with "don't") by owner Laurel Davis. They're available daily in salted maple, vanilla glaze, cinnamon sugar, and dark chocolate frosting for a crazy-reasonable $2, and can be filled with pastry cream by request for a more Ansel-esque experience.
