Lower Temescal has created a monster (and no, we're not talking about gentrification). Monster Pho (3905 Broadway), a Vietnamese spot from 29-year-old owner Tee Tran, is the latest culinary offering in the up-and-coming hood, offering Tran's family's secret recipes for banh mi, chicken wings, and of course, pho, available in both a standard and "monster" format (the latter boasts brisket, flank, rare steak, meatballs, tendon, and tripe). It's currently scheduled to debut March 1, a week from Saturday. [EBX]
