Don't Go, Elbo

News from SocketSite of a proposal to raze two-story Mission bar Elbo Room and construct nine residential housing units, a 770 square-foot commercial space and ground-floor parking sent ripples of horror through Mission barhoppers already traumatized by the recent spate of local dive bar die-offs. But Elbo Room denies that change is on the way, stating on Facebook that "the building owners (close friends of ours), submitted a proposal (which has to be public), but are not acting on it at this time."
