Hapa Ramen's New Home; More Castro Coffee

MISSIONRichie Nakano has kept the location of his long-awaited Hapa Ramen brick-and-mortar under wraps, but the word is finally out: a 2,400-square-foot former 99-cent store at 2293 Mission (at 19th) will be home to the ramen stop once it opens. A noodle machine arrives from Yokohama tomorrow, but there's not telling yet just how long it'll be before opening. [Tablehopper]

CASTRO—Just how much caffeine can Castro denizens ingest? Yet another cafe is en route to test the limits. The newcomers are Hearth Coffee, the roasters behind the now defunct Brown Owl Coffee Cafe. They'll be taking the old Sun Days Tanning spot at 3985 17th Street. [Castro Biscuit]

NOE VALLEY—Neighborhood spot Cafe Ponte has closed up shop, but there's another cafe project in the works. Called Diamond Cafe, the new spot will begin offering crepes, omelets and basic brunch and lunch fare in about three weeks. [Noe Valley SF]

MISSION—And, for a new definition of mini-bar, look no further than this adorably diminutive model of Urban Putt's upcoming bar. Finally, a classy craft cocktail joint where a doll can get a drink around here. [EaterWire]
