The long-shuttered The Patio space may finally see new life—as a location of Hamburger Mary's, the iconic gay-owned Folsom burger joint that closed in 2001. Owner Les Natali is trying to figure out if Mary's, which is now a chain with 11 other U.S. locations, will qualify under the neighborhood's strict formula-retail laws, given its founding here and its historically LGBT-friendly bent. If it passes, the interior will get a small refresh and open fairly quickly, as Natali already has his permits in order. [BAR]
