Newish Oakland bakery/cafe Barkada is transforming itself into a full-service restaurant, eliminating wireless Internet to discourage the laptop crowd and instituting table service at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They'll now feature a weekday cafe menu, weekend brunch, and weeknight dinner service featuring dishes like steamed mussels, a burger and a Hog's Apothecary sausage pizzette. (See the menus here.) Fans of Barkada's baked goods will be happy to know that pastries, bread, and cakes to go will still be on offer. [Tablehopper]
