SF Chefs Moves to Fort Mason, Rebrands as Eat Drink SF

SF Chefs, San Francisco's biggest culinary festival, announced major changes today, including a revamped name and new location. Now in its sixth year, SF Chefs is rebranding itself to become Eat Drink SF, which includes ditching its longtime tent quarters in the center of Union Square and moving to the more spacious digs at Fort Mason. Past attendees likely recall how packed the tent got, and for the festival's big events in particular, the move is all about increasing capacity, with more room for more chefs to serve attendees.

For this year's weeklong event, which will run from July 27th – August 3rd, gala events and tastings will take place in the Fort Mason Festival Pavilion, with demonstrations, panels and classes making use of the venue's many smaller rooms. With the changes will come an expanded focus on events across the city, with more local dinners and special parties added to the docket, so get ready to have a full dance card once late summer rolls around. The full list of participating restaurants and events is still to come, but enthusiasts should circle their calendars for May 15, when early-bird tickets will go on sale on the new Eat Drink SF website.
