The renovation of Outerlands, like all things in SF restaurants, is taking longer than expected: it was originally supposed to wrap up in February, but now will likely run through April. As it wraps up, though, the restaurant's parted ways with its chef of three years, Brett Cooper, a Chron, StarChefs, and SF Mag Rising Star who's also cooked at Saison and Coi. He was amicably let go by owners David Muller and Lana Porcello, who want to simplify the menu a bit upon reopening. Cooper he's looking for another gig in the Bay Area. [Inside Scoop]
