The Times Goes Crazy For Linea; Nowruz at Fly Trap

THE MISSIONLinea Caffe got a seriously loving spread in the Times' travel section this week. "Not only do they pull it off, they do it in style...in this part of town, anything goes on the plate. But being unconventional only counts for so much; the crowd at Linea is there because the coffee, waffles and salads are worth it." [NYT]

SOMAHoss Zare's annual celebration of Nowruz, the Persian New Year, goes down tomorrow at The Fly Trap. The $77 tasting menu will encompass each of the seven haft-seen, symbols of the holiday; they'll also have a Persian guitarist and a samovar station with tea and cookies. BERNAL HEIGHTS—It seems like just yesterday that Rock Bar arrived in Bernal, but the popular cocktail spot is now officially two years old. They're celebrating tomorrow night with punch, donkey rides (in honor of their donkey mascot), and midnight fried chicken from sister restaurant The Front Porch. It goes down from 6 pm-2 am.
