The newest addition to the Bay Area's robust coffee scene is Red Bay Coffee. Inspired by a trip to Senegeal, where founder Keba Konte saw coffee beans roasted over an open flame, the fledgling company creates blends from a garden coffee roasting lab. It then ramps up to a shared roaster in Oakland and finally, to local spots like Miss Ollie's and the new Kingston 11. Look out for a launch party on April 24 at Konte's Chasing Lions cafe, and more Red Bay purveyors coming soon. [SF Weekly]
