Chipotle's attempt to open a location in the former Home space in the Castro was one of last year's biggest controversies, and its efforts ultimately failed due to formula-retail laws. Unfortunately, it seems that no one else has come to the rescue of the space, which has now been empty for almost three years. A proposal has been filed with the Planning Department to demolish Home and turn it into something SF can't get enough of these days: condos. [Hoodline]
