Three Twins Offers $3.3K 'World's Most Expensive Sundae'

Three Twins Ice Cream triumphantly returned to their former location on Fillmore Street earlier this year. To celebrate, or perhaps just to test the limits of credulity, they're again offering what they've called the "World's Most Expensive Ice Cream Sundae." For the high, high cost of $3,333.33, you'll get a banana split made with syrups from three rare dessert wines: a 1960's vintage port, a Chateau D'Yquem and a German Trockenbeerenauslese. Served with an ice cream spoon dating back to the 1850s, we can only assume that this sundae is composed of ice cream flavors of your choosing. Order a day ahead and Three Twins will have a cellist perform while you eat.

It's not all pure indulgence, however. If you do decide to take Three Twins up on their offer, one third of the purchase price will be donated to a local land trust. And if you're looking to indulge that special someone without cashing out your retirement account, Hoodline notes that Three Twins also offers a $45 20-scoop "Twinasaurus" sundae, served in a pot (naturally).
